"The Invisible Threat" is the story of a tireless warrior, Hans-Ulrich Jakob,
who for 15 years pushed relentlessly for the dismantling of the health hazardous short-wave transmitting site Schwarzenburg.
In order to keep him silent, all the stops were pulled out: our protagonist had to endure smear campaigns, wiretapping, surveillance, sabotage and a series of harassments before he succeeded shutting down this ominous propaganda machine of the Cold War.
Although this battle was won, the invisible threat continues unchecked and is omnipresent today, without regard to the well-being of people and their environment.
This film portrays the dangers to human beings exposed to artificially generated rays.
